About David Geenty

Born in England in 1945 and raised on a cattle ranch in what is now Zimbabwe, David Geenty developed an early appreciation for animals and the natural world. After studying art in Johannesburg, his work was influenced by renowned sculptor Moses Kotler, shaping the beginnings of his distinctive artistic style.

Following a career in engineering and naval architecture, Geenty returned to his true passion — sculpture. Focusing on equine studies, his work captures the strength, grace and spirit of horses with remarkable precision. Today, David Geenty’s sculptures are celebrated by collectors worldwide for their craftsmanship, authenticity and timeless beauty.
