Well, it is just three days to go until Royal Ascot 2011 kicks off and as an avid Racing fan I am very excited about the prospect of getting dressed in my best and heading off for a day or two of fun at the racecourse.

It is also a perfect excuse for me to get my husband wearing a country tie!  The dress code for Ascot is generally quite strict, and it quite clearly states, “Gentlemen in the Grandstand Admission area must wear a shirt and tie” so there will be no excuses!

Soprano offer a wonderful selection of country ties that include racing themes so it is easy to find something suitable for the day.

This beautiful Yellow Jockey Country Silk Tie is made of 100% silk and designs of jockey shirts and horse saddles cover the entire surface.  The subtle colours blended in the tie complement each other beautifully and it will suit a shirt and suit of almost any colour.

For those looking for a dark tie, this Green Jockey Country Silk tie, features the same delightful design of jockey shirts and saddles, and is finished in a rich forest green with complementing shades of brown, violet and red.  This tie will stand out against a crisp white shirt and dark grey or black suit.

My favourite would have to be this beautiful Green Horse Racing Woven Silk Tie.  Finished in a luxurious shade of Olive green, this tie features a high detail design of racing Jockeys mounted on their horses. At 148cm long, this 100% silk tie is perfect for the Windsor knot that my husband prefers and will match superbly with his racing attire.
